This project aims to create a metaphor generation system for Tamil, a low-resource language in Natural Language Processing (NLP). It involves building a dataset of Tamil metaphors and fine-tuning language models to generate contextually accurate metaphors. The research will also develop models to generate metaphorical sentences and evaluate their performance. The outcomes will enhance NLP capabilities for Tamil and provide a foundation for metaphor generation in other low-resource languages.
