Janarthanasarma is a postgraduate research student at the University of Moratuwa. He earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the same university in 2018. He also has one and a half years of industry experience as a software engineer.
Projects
Jana is currently working on improving the neural machine translation NMT system for English-Tamil language pair. He is working on techniques that can increase the efficiency of deep learning systems for machine translation involving low resource languages like Tamil. He is mainly focusing on transfer learning in which a high resource language model parent model is used to train the low resource language model.
