Bhathiya is a postgraduate research student at the University of Moratuwa. He earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the same university in 2016. He possesses 3 years of industry experience and worked as a Senior Software Engineer before joining the lab.

Projects

Bhathiya is broadly interested in neural approaches for conversational AI. His research focuses on Dialogue State Tracking DST for goal-oriented, low-resource language, dialogues. He is currently investigating transfer learning techniques to overcome the resource barrier by utilizing high-resource language corpora to build low-resource language dialogue systems.
