Jana is currently working on improving the neural machine translation (NMT) system for English-Tamil language pair. He is working on techniques that can increase the efficiency of deep learning systems for machine translation involving low resource languages like Tamil. He is mainly focusing on transfer learning in which a high resource language model (parent model) is used to train the low resource language model.
